A Digital Orthophoto System from Intergraph
Reference No: |
GIS 30-1 |
An orthophoto is a photograph from which the effects of tilt, relief and other systematic errors of perspective projection have been removed. Digital orthophotos can be produced in less time and at lower costs. They can be used as an inexpensive substitution and/or addition to regular line maps. This presentation outlines Intergraph's digital orthophoto workflow. Emphasis is placed on photogrammetric workflow, flexibility, ease of use, accuracy and its integration into a GIS.

Digital Orthophotography Generated from Aerial Photography Controlled with Airborne GPS
Reference No: |
GIS 30-2 |
The presentation describes a project producing orthophotography controlled with GPS carrier phase observations in continuous kinematic mode and smoothed pseudo ranges (C/A) code. The accuracy of digital orthophotography is evaluated as well as the effect of different levels of resolution suitable to forest applications. Cost is compared to other forms of orthophotography.

Using Iterative Orthophoto Refinements to Correct Digital Elevation Models (DEM's)
Reference No: |
GIS 30-3 |
To minimize the tedious and time-consuming process of editing data, the Topographic Engineering Center has developed a new DEM editing/generation technique the Iterative Orthophoto Refinements (IOR) method. This presentation offers a detailed description of the IOR method, test results, and conclusions.

Multispectral Matching Techniques for DTM Generation
Reference No: |
GIS 30-4 |
As computing technology has become more powerful , faster, cheaper, and more accessible, especially on the PC and workstation levels, the development of multispectral matching techniques-that work-has also become attainable. This presentation introduces matching techniques developed for multispectral images, to improve the matching certainty, thereby producing higher elevation accuracy.
